The Virginian Pilot July 14, 1961

Mrs. Laura Williams Edwards, 74, of 6125 Sylvan Ave., widow of Joseph Wilson Ed
Edwards, died Thursday at 11 a.m. in a hospital here.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a member of Epworth Methodist Church a
and the 60 plus Club at Ocean View.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruth E. Heintzleman of Easton, Pa.; two so
sons, Victor E. Edwards of Norfolk and Gordon T. Edwards of Portsmouth; a si
sister, Mrs. Ruth Deal of Norfolk; nine grandchildren and nine great-gr
grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted in Cox Funeral Home Saturday at 3 p.m. by t
the Rev. Dr. Hugh M. Burleigh, pastor, and the Rev. John Tate, assistant p
pastor, of Epworth Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
