NORFOLK - Mrs. Eva Johnson Eggleston of 1239 Marshall Ave., the widow of Augustus
Eggleston and a Virginia native, died Thursday in a hospital.

She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was
a member of the missionary society and usher board 1.

Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Mary L. Harmon, and two nephews, James Chavis and
Irvin Chavis, all of Norfolk; and cousins.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home. A funeral will be held Sunday at 1:45 om
Bethlehem Baptist Church by the Rev. L.P. Watson. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Irvin Chavis of 1211 Marshall Ave.
