Egner, wife of Mr. Frederic Egner, who was at one time superintendent of the City Gas Company's works here, died at their residence, No. 26 Hamilton Avenue at 1:35 o'clock yesterday morning. Mrs. Egner had been sick about two months and her many friends will regret exceedingly to learn of her death. Her funeral will take place from St. Luke's P.E. Church this afternoon at 4 o'clock. ********************************************************************** The funeral of Mrs. Marietta Justina Egner,, who died at an early hour Monday morning at the home of her husband, Mr. Frederick Egner, No. 26 Hamilton Avenue, Ghent, took place yesterday afternoon from St. Luke's Episcopal Church, of which she was a member, and was conducted by the rector, the Rev. A.S. Lloyd. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, the following acting as pallbearers: R. Henry Jones, J.W. Hunter, Frank Hitch, Henry Little, A.W. Santos, Frank McCullough, R.C. Taylor and R.F. Baldwin. Mrs. Egner was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends and was a lady of beautiful Christian character. She was about 47 years of age and leaves no children. She was the sister of Mr. George Brown, superintendent of the Morristown, N.J. City Gas Company, who was with her in her last illness and is now here.
