William A. Ehrmanntraut, aged 65 years, died yesterday morning at 10:30 o’clock at 
the residence, 4001 Colonial avenue, after a lingering illness. Mr. Ehrmanntraut 
was for many years superintendent of the Norfolk city markets. He was a native of 
Washington, D. C., and had been a resident of Norfolk twenty-one years. He is 
survived by his wife, Mrs. Caroline Ehrmanntraut, four daughters. Mrs. James T. 
Hannan, Mrs. W. T. Shelley, Mrs. E. N. Holmes and Mrs. C. H. Childress, and three 
grandchildren. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock at 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church and will be conducted by Rev T. E. Waters. Burial 
will be private in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
