Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 8, 1932
James Andrew Eley, aged 75, died at his residence, 110 East Thirtieth street, 
last night at 8:45 o'clock after a long illness.  He is survived by his wife, 
Mrs. Clara D. Eley; two daughters, Mrs. Harry J. Dixon and Mrs. A.B. Jarvis, all 
of Norfolk, and several nieces and nephews,  Mr, Eley was a native of Isle of 
Wight County and had been a resident of Norfolk for the last 40 years.  He was a 
member of the Christian Temple, Norfolk Lodge 32, I.O.O.F., and Norfolk Council 
2, O.F.A.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

James Andrew Eley - Funeral services for Mr. Eley will be conducted at the 
Christian Temple this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. L.E. Smith, D.D.  
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
