ELEY, JAMES ANDREW, SR - At a Norfolk hospital, Monday, July 31, 1962, at 9:35 
p.m., JAMES ANDREW ELEY, SR., widower of Mrs. Maude Powell Eley and son of the 
late Alexander M. and Mrs. Mary Ann Virginia Carr Eley, in the 73rd year of his 
age. The body will be taken from the Cox Funeral Home to the First Baptist Church, 
Westover Avenue, corner of Moran Street, for funeral services THIS (Thursday) 
AFTERNOON, August 2, 1962, at 2 o'clock. Friends are invited to attend. Burial 
will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The body will be at the church one hour prior to 
services.
