Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 23, 1920

Rufus Murdock Eley, aged 23, died yesterday morning at 7 o'clock at the residence 
of his mother, 18 Jackson street, after an illness of several months.
Mr. Eley was a son of Mrs. Sallie A. Eley and the late Llewellyn P. Eley, of South 
Norfolk, and had lived here all his life.  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Marie 
Eley; a son, Monroe Eley and a sister, Miss Hazel Eley.
The funeral service will be conducted at the above residence this afternoon at 4 
o'clock, and burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
