Virginian-Pilot, June 8, 1907
The funeral of the late A. M. Eley, whose sudden death occurred at his home on 
Wood Street Thursday night at 11:40 o'clock from apoplexy, will be held from 
the Christian Memorial Temple, of which he was one of the founders, and also a 
prominent member, Sunday afternoon. The service will be conducted by the 
pastor, Rev. P. S. Sailer, Dr. J. P. Barrett, of Ohio, a former pastor, and 
Rev. H. W. Elder, of Richland, Ga.
