Norfolk - Bruncin S. Ellerbe, 73, of 1035 Godfrey avenue, received final rites 
Sunday at Garrett’s Community Church.  He died July 24 at his home.

The Rev. James Askew officiated at the service.  Burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery with Morning Glory Funeral Home handling arrangements.

A Norfolk school board employee for nine years, Mr. Ellerbe was a native of 
Sumter, SC.  He was a member of Tabernacle Church of God.

Mr. Ellerbe is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Ellerbe;  four daughters, Mrs. 
Sarah Bond, Mrs. Marion Arnold and Mrs. Delores Etheridge, Mrs. Gertrude ?;  
two sons, Bernard Ellerbe of Norfolk and Bruncin S. Ellerbe Jr. of the Army;  
a stepson, Henry Frazer of Norfolk;  a brother McKinley Ellerbe of New York;  
a sister, Mrs. Ida Larkin of Sumter;  and 17 grandchildren.
