Edward Ellicott, of the British steamship Mount Sephar, took place at the St. Vincent's Hospital at noon yesterday, and was conducted by Rev. J. B. Merritt, Seaman's Chaplain. The interment was in the seamen's section of Elmwood Cemetery. The deceased was 44 years of age and was of Liverpool, Eng. His vessel is of Glasgow, Scotland, and bound from Galveston to Liverpool. She had put in at Newport News for coal, from which place he was brought to St. Vincent's Hospital Tuesday afternoon, suffering from fever. He died a few hours after his arrival at that institution. The Mount Sephar sailed yesterday afternoon for her destination, in command of Capt. C. J. Shepherd, late first officer of the ship, who has been promoted.
