ELLINGTON DEAD Mr. Phineas Alexander Ellington, a well-known and highly respected citizen, died yesterday morning at 9 o'clock at the residence of his son, Mr. P.A. Ellington, on South Lee street. The deceased was in his 88th year, and was for a great many years employed with the Norfolk and Western Railroad Company. The funeral will be conducted from the Memorial M.E. church this afternoon at 3 o'clock and the interment will be in Magnolia cemetery. He was a member of Niemeyer-Shaw Camp, Confederate Veterans, and it is a request of Commander E.L Cox that all the veterans assemble at Truitt's Hall at 1:30 o'clock to attend the funeral in a body. Rev. W.A. Christian will officiate.
