J. Robert Parvin. Mrs. Elliott, a native of Norfolk, died Monday at her residence. Mrs. Payton, a native of Norfolk, died Tuesday in a hospital. The twin sisters were 41. Mrs. Elliott is survived by her husband, Arthur Richard Elliott Sr.; two daughters, Diane Gillstrape of Norfolk and Delores Phillips of Bedford, Ind.; two sons, Fred Stallings Jr. and Arthur Richard Elliott Jr., both of Norfolk; and a grandchild. Mrs. Payton is survived by her husband, Donald L. Payton Sr. of Winter Haven Fla.; two daughters, Tanya Casinona of Toms River, N.J., and Debbie Sluter of Bedford, Ind.; two sons, Donald Payton Jr. of Winter Haven, Fla., and Bobby Payton of Bedford, Ind.; and three grandchildren. Other survivors include their father, George E. Hughes Sr. of Norfolk and two brothers, Arthur S. Hughes of Toms River, N.J., and George E. Hughes Jr. of Virginia Beach. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of arrangements,. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
