Miss Mary E. Elliott, of 629 Reservoir avenue, died April 25 in a New York 
hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Elliott, employed for 11 years at Ames 
and Brownley, Inc., had worked for the past eight years at King’s Daughters 
hospital.

A member of the Daughters of Norfolk and First Baptist Church, Bute Street, 
she was buried Sunday, May 1, in Calvary Cemetery, following a funeral 
service at Garden of Prayer Church of God in Christ. The Rev. L. E. Willis, 
pastor, officiated.

She is survived by a son, William Elliott of New York City; one sister, Miss 
Beulah Elliott of Norfolk, and two grandchildren.

Hale Funeral Home handled funeral arrangements.
