ELLIOTT FATALLY STRICKEN WITH HEART ATTACK Well--Known Attorney Succumbs Suddenly At His Home; Funeral Tomorrow Gilmer Tyson Elliott, for many years a well known Norfolk attorney, died suddenly at his home, 612 Reservoir Avenue, yesterday afternoon. Death was due to heart failure and came as a great shock to Mr. Elliott's relatives and friends. He was 52 years old. Mr. Elliott was associated with his brother, W.W. Elliott, in the law partnership of Elliott & Elliott and they had practiced together here for more than 15 years. Both were well known in the city and enjoyed a large practice, especially in criminal law cases. Mr. Elliott was the son of the late J.A. and Mrs. Annie Welton Elliott, both of this city, and had been a life long resident of Norfolk. He never married and is survived only by his law partner and another brother, H.H. Elliott, also of this city. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the James V. Derry Funeral Home, 346 West Princess Anne Road. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. W.W. Elliott said last night that his brother suffered a severe heart attack about two years ago, but recovered, and apparently had been in good health recently until the fatal attack yesterday afternoon.
