Norfolk Journal and Guide, Feb. 4, 1961
Robert Lee Elliott, 55, of 618 Reservoir avenue, who died at a local hospital on
Jan. 23, was given final rites on Sunday at Garrett’s Community Church with the
Rev. James Askew officiating.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery under direction of the Jones Funeral Home.

Mr. Elliott was a native of South Mills, NC.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs.
Emma J. Elliott;  a daughter, Mrs. Pearl E. Thompson of Baltimore;  four
sisters, Mrs. James Turner of Hickory, Mrs. Mary E. Boyce, Mrs. Nellie Barnett
and Miss Martha Elliott, all of Norfolk;  and four brothers, C. Elliott and Ben
Elliott of Norfolk, and James and Willie Elliott of Baltimore.
