The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday July 9, 1954
George W. Elliott, 93, husband of Lauretta Bradshaw Elliott, died at the 
residence, 100 Willowwood Drive, yesterday at 5:25 a.m. Besides his wife he 
is survived by a grandson, Henry M. Hardee, III, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Eva 
Bradshaw Joyner, all of Norfolk, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Elliott was a native of Ireland and had been a resident of Norfolk for 
65 years. He was a member of Ghent Methodist Church, a member of the Odd 
Fellows for 50 years and had recently celebrated his 68th wedding 
anniversary. He was in the employ of Fibreboard Container Company, Richmond, 
for 40 years until his retirement 12 years ago.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home 
tomorrow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
