Saturday at the Bradley funeral establishment in Dundalk. Mr. Ellis, who had been on sick leave from the company, died yesterday at the High Oaks Sanitarium in Philadelphia. He was 59 years old. He had worked for Western Electric since 1927, when he began as a clerk, and over the years he held a number of supervisory positions in the accounting and manufacturing organizations. He was a member of the Point Three chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Norfolk Native Mr. Ellis had lived in Baltimore for the past 35 years and last made his home at 102 Wilson Point Road. A native of Norfolk, Mr. Ellis was educated at schools in Oak Park. Ill., and at the University of Miami (Fla.), where he was a member of that school's first football and boxing teams. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Charlotte B. Ellis; a daughter, Mrs. Joan Oates, of New York; a son, Robert B. Ellis, of Wilmington, Del.; a brother, William H. Ellis, formerly of Baltimore and now of Winston-Salem, N.C., and four grandchildren.
