Ellis, of Cleveland, O., and a sailor aboard the schooner Lucy Wheatly, fell overboard and was drowned off Lambert's Point yesterday morning. The schooner was being towed up the harbor and Ellis was engaged in putting a step on the spanker-boom when the accident occurred. As soon as it was discovered that there was a man overboard, the vessel was put back, but the unfortunate man never came to the surface after having once gone down and efforts to rescue him or to recover the body were in vain.
