He was a native of Ireland, and had been living in Newport News for some years, being well known and highly esteemed. He was a stevedore by occupation. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. N. McKone, of Ireland; four brothers, Patrick and Peter Elmore, both of Ireland; James Elmore, of Chicago and John Elmore, of Norfolk. The funeral occurs at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 E. Freemason Street, Norfolk. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk. ************************************************************************** The funeral of Michael Elmore took place yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock at H. D. Oliver’s funeral apartments and was conducted by Rev. George Dunn of St. Mary's Catholic church. The funeral was largely attended and there were many handsome floral tributes. Interment occurred in St. Mary’s cemetery. The pallbearers were M. J. Lyons, B. P. Wall, T. S. FitzGibbon, John Harris, William Walsh and M. H. Prince.
