Virginian Pilot February 4, 1984

Belford Joseph Emanuelson, 92, of 612 Piney Point, a native of Norfolk and the 
widower of Macel Rust Emanuelson, died Thursday in a hospital.
Emanuelson had retired in 1947 from a job at Virginia Electric and Power Co. He 
was a veteran of the Mexican border war and World War I.
Survivors include a sister, Sister Mary Charles Vincent of Williamsville, N.Y.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. 
Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
A Christian wake will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk.

EMANUELSON, BELFORD JOSEPH. Died in a Virginia Beach Hospital, Thursday, BELFORD 
JOSEPH EMANUELSON, widower of Mrs. Macel Rust Emanuelson and son of the late 
Charles Oscar and Mrs. Frances Wozelka Emanuelson, in the 93rd year of his age. 
A Joyful mass of the Resurrection will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., 
Norfolk, has charge.
