Carroll G. Emley, 70, son of William and Mrs. Ella Collins Emley, died yesterday 
at 7:40 a.m. in New York.
A retired linotype operator, he was a native of Philadelphia, and had been a 
resident of Norfolk for a number of years, residing at 1600 Holland Avenue at the 
time of his death. He was formerly employed at Burke and Gregory, Inc., Norfolk 
printers and book binders.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Marguerite Mentzinger, and one nephew, of 
Philadelphia.
Services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tomorrow at 11 a.m. 
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
