Liberty St., Berkley, died yesterday at 7:15 p.m. at his residence after an illness of three years. He was a retired barber in Berkley and a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of Norfolk. A native of Romania, he had lived here for 40 years. His parents were George and Mrs. Elina Ene. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anthonia Dumara Ene; three sons, Edward Paul Ene of Norfolk County; George John Ene of Japan and John Ene, Jr. of Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Elina Grosbaski of California and Mrs. Christine Wilson of Norfolk and nine grandchildren. The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley. **************************************************************************** NORFOLK — Funeral services for John Ene, who died Friday, were conducted at the Sykes Funeral Home yesterday at 10 a.m., by the Rev. Anthony N. Papas, of the Greek Orthodox Church. Pallbearers were Woodrow Midgette, Edgar Alexander, Hassell Perell, Trow Thacker, Rudolph Griffin and B. L. Watkins. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
