ENNIS, JR., DIES IN AUTO CRASH, AVERY SWINDELL OF MONOXIDE The accidental deaths of two Norfolk men over the weekend were announced by police yesterday. Victims were Frank Gibbons Ennis, Jr., 31, of 1210 Rockbridge Avenue, who was killed in an automobile accident Saturday about 10:15 p.m. and Avery Lee Swindell, 36, of 2925 Victoria Avenue, who died as a result of monoxide poisoning last night. Ennis was driving eastward on the Virginia Beach Boulevard about 10:15 p.m. and was approximately one mile west of London Bridge when a collision occurred between his car and a car operated by James Vernon Capps, 27, of Lynnhaven. The Ennis car was overturned and Ennis was thrown out. As the vehicle made its second turn, he was pinned underneath. The other occupants of the car, Mrs. Mary Gwyer Ennis and Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Dick, were uninjured except for a small cut on Mrs. Ennis' leg. The other car was reported owned by Louis M. Rainey of Virginia Beach and occupied by Capps and Randolph Smith, neither of whom was injured. A warrant charging Capps with manslaughter has been issued and a hearing has been set for February 12 at Princess Anne Court House, Trooper L. W. Coffman of the Virginia State Highway Police, said. Ennis was the son of Mrs. Carrie Sykes Ennis and the late Frank Gibbons Ennis. He was a native and lifelong resident of this section. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by one daughter, Mary Gwyer Ennis, a son, Frank G. Ennis, 3rd; one sister, Mrs. Russell E. Etheridge and a brother, Robert Lee Ennis, all of Norfolk. FUNERAL WEDNESDAY The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's Catholic Church for funeral services Wednesday at 10 a.m. Rosary services will be held at the H. D.
