CHESAPEAKE — Carrie Sykes Ennis, 98, of the 1000 block of Deep Creek Blvd., died 
Jan. 3, 1989, in a retirement home.
Mrs. Ennis, a native of Norfolk, was the widow of Frank G. Ennis Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary E. Etheridge of Norfolk; a son, Robert L. Ennis 
of Dallas; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk, by the Rev. Joseph P. Lehman. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic 
Cemetery, Norfolk. There will be a Christian wake at 7:30 p.m. today in the 
funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
