Virginian Pilot June 18, 1979

 Mrs. Jennie Margaret Halstead Enwright, 78, of 3500 Cedar Grove Circle, a 
native of Norfolk, died Sunday.
She was a sales clerk at Smith & Welton Department Stores for 15 years before 
her retirement. She was a member of Ocean View Baptist Church and Ocean View 
Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Mitchell Roberts of St. Petersburg, 
Fla.; a son, Joseph E. Mitchell of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Samuel B. 
Halstead and William G. Halstead of Norfolk; several nieces and nephews; five 
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
A funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Hiram 
Harrison. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, has charge of 
arrangements. The family will be at the home of Mr. Mitchell, 3500 Cedar Grove 
Circle. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
