He was a native of Floyd County, Va. and had resided at Lynnhaven Station for the past five years, moving there from Norfolk where he had lived for the preceding twenty-five years. He was the son of the late Eli and Mrs. Ona Phlegar Epperly. Besides his wife, Mrs. Mary Epperly, he is survived by two sons, F.E. and George E. Epperly, both of Norfolk and a daughter, Miss Ella L. Epperly, of Lynnhaven Station. He was a member of Norfolk Tent No. 6, of the Maccabees. The body will be taken from the funeral home of E. Lee Cox and Brother, 631 Westover avenue, tomorrow morning for funeral services at the residence of his son, F.E. Epperly, 206 Marlboro avenue, Chesterfield Heights, at 2 o'clock. The Rev. W.E. Stahler, D.D., pastor of the First Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
