A native of Mathews County, Mrs. Epps had been in Norfolk more than 30 years. A member of the senior ladies usher board at First Baptist for 5 years, Mrs. Epps also was active in the Dora Billups Missionary Circle, Get-Together Club, Zion Builders Club and the Sunday school. She is survived by a sister,Mrs. Agora Johnson, and a brother, George Tonkins, of Mathews County. A funeral service was conducted at First Baptist on April 6 by the Rev. E. Paul Simms. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with B. F. King Funeral home in charge.
