NORFOLK - Recita Thorogood "Red" Epps-Drew, 56, of the 300 block of W. 27th St., 
passed away May 30, 2006.  She was born Nov. 14, 1949, in Norfolk.  She leaves to 
cherish her memory her husband, Leo Drew, Jr., of Norfolk; one daughter, Sheila 
Epps-Parson, of Woodbridge, Va.; her mother, Annie L. Thorogood; four sisters, 
Barbara Wright, Veronica Fatherly, Estelle Banks, all of Norfolk, and Venita 
Gaines, of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Alvin Thorogood, Jr., Lafayette 
Thorogood and Andre Thorogood, all of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Tiara Parson-
Mizelle and Alvin Parson, Jr., both of Woodbridge; a goddaughter, Recita Battle, 
of Chesapeake; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral 
Service, 7246 Granby St.  Elder Robert Carraway will officiate.  Interment will be 
in St. Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk.  Family and friends will assemble at 305 W. 27th 
St. one hour prior to the service for the procession to the chapel.  The family 
will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Condolences may
