Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark April 24, 1934

George Campbell Erwin, aged 85, died at his home at Hickory, Norfolk County, 
yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock after an illness of one month.  He was a 
native of Philadelphia and had lived in Norfolk and Norfolk County for 46 
years.  He was a member of Vandalia Lodge 47, I.O.O.F.; Rathbone Lodge 56, 
Knights of Pythias and the Junior Order of American Mechanics.  He is survived 
by two sons, Jesse W. Erwin, Williamsburg and William Luther Erwin, Hickory
The body was removed to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Brother, 631 Westover 
Avenue, pending funeral arrangements.
