Mr. Erxleben was a model young man, an earnest member of the Second Presbyterian Church and secretary of that organization's Sunday school. Some years ago he recovered from a very desperate illness, but his health had never been perfect since that time. He had held the position of bookkeeper for Vickery & Co. for a long time, but was compelled to resign last summer on account of failing health. Mr. Erxleben was a member of Norfolk Lodge 32, I.O.O.F. and this organization will attend his funeral in a body this afternoon. The ceremonies will be conducted at the Second Presbyterian Church, and the interment will be in the family plot in Elmwood.
