Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - August 9, 1991

Warren Lee Essex, 69, of the 1400 block of W. 27th St., died Aug. 6, 1991, 
in a hospital.
Mr. Essex was born in Elkins, W.Va. He had retired from the Naval Air 
Station. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include a son, David A. Essex of Norfolk; three sisters, Bertha 
Wilson of Erie, Pa., Gladys Cox of Elkins and Peggy Ripley of Portsmouth; 
and three grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Magnolia Cemetery 
by the Rev. Hugh C. White III. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is 
handling arrangements.
