NORFOLK - W. Curtis Estes, 79, of 944 Defoe Ave., died in a hospital Monday 
afternoon.
A native of Mathews County, he lived here most of his life.
He was retired from Birtcherd Dairy and was a member of Central Baptist Church.
He was the son of William James and Mrs. Lucy Mayo Estes.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Vail of Richmond; a son, W. Curtis 
Estes Jr., and a brother, John F. Estes, both of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. 
Eppa Soles of Mathews, Mrs. Archie Bowie and Mrs. Joseph L. Kceter of Norfolk; 
six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.
The family will be at 207 Regent Road.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments by the Rev. Otis Colston of Central Baptist Church. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
