Etheredge will take place from his late residence in Berkley, this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Mr. Etheredge was a gallant Confederate soldier and served a term as sheriff of Norfolk County. He was well and favorably known for his honestness of purpose and kindliness of heart and the news of his death will be read with regret by his large circle of friends. His widow and seven children survive to mourn the loss of a good husband and kind father. ******************************************************************************* The funeral of the late Jno. N. Etheredge took place from St. Paul's P.E. Church, in Berkley, Sunday afternoon and was largely attended. Rev. Robert Gatewood conducted the services and the remains were interred in Magnolia Cemetery, the following gentlemen acting as pallbearers: Messrs. T.C. Humphries, W.H. Kirby, E.E. Hathaway, Thomas V. Dashiell, John R. Dalby and Judge George D. Parker.
