NORFOLK — Mordaunt Etheredge, 91, of 514 Massachusetts Ave., husband of Mrs. 
Mattie Hyslop Etheredge and son of Samuel Augustus and Mrs. Mary Williams 
Etheredge, died at 6 a.m. Sunday in his home.
A native of Norfolk County, he was a member of Christian Temple, Corinthian 
Masonic Lodge and Khedive Temple.
Until his retirement two years ago, he was president of Thomson-Etheredge & Co., 
realtors, for 50 years. He was a former choir member of Old St. Paul's Church, 
First Presbyterian Church and the Christian Temple.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert H. Etheredge of Princess Anne 
County, a daughter, Mrs. Richard M. Cooke of Princess Anne County, a sister, 
Mrs. John W. Lewis of Norfolk; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Tuesday at 11 
a.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
