VIRGINIA BEACH - Robert Hyslop Etheredge, 75, the husband of Mrs. Elizabeth West 
Etheredge and former owner of Thomson-Etheredge Real Estate and Insurance Co., 
died Monday at 2 p.m. in a hospital.
Born in Norfolk, he lived here for 20 years.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Shirley E. Burton of San Jose, Calif.; 
a son, Robert H. Etheredge Jr. of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mrs. Mary Mordaunt 
Cooke of the Eastern Shore of Virginia; seven grandchildren; and five great-
grandchildren.
The body was taken to Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel.
VIRGINIA BEACH - A funeral for Robert Hyslop Etheredge, 75, will be held today 
at 1 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, by the Rev. Charles Riddle, III. 
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, has charge. The family has 
suggested that flowers be omitted and memorial donations may be sent to a 
charity of choice.
