Etheridge, aged 70, died yesterday at 2:35 a.m. at a local hospital. He was a native of Currituck N.C. and had been a resident of Norfolk for 40 years residing at 1118 Holt Street. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Blanche Etheridge and several nieces and nephews. The body will be taken from H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street to St. Mary's Catholic Church for services tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. ***************************************************************************** Willoughby W. Etheridge — Funeral services for Mr. Etheridge were held yesterday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. A. J. Taylor officiating. Father Taylor paid a very high tribute to the Christian life and character of the deceased. Several selections were rendered by the choir of St. Mary's Female Academy. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with clusters of gladiolus, dahlias and roses. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers were W. E. Chambers, W. A. West, W. H. Hawkins, W. F. Hall, E. A. Binns, and J. E. Parr.
