He had but few friends and the attendance was small. The interment took place in Elmwood Cemetery, the expenses of the funeral being borne by the First Baptist Church. Prior to the death of the unfortunate man, a gentleman of sympathetic nature collected sufficient money to pay two weeks' lodging in advance for him.
