Virginian-Pilot March 16, 1961
NORFOLK — Mrs. Ethel Fitchett Etheridge, 69, widow of Clarence V. Etheridge and 
daughter of William J. and Mrs. Emma Sawyer Fitchett, a lifelong resident of 
Norfolk, died Tuesday at 11:05 p m. in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and formerly resided at 635 
Maryland Avenue.
Mrs. Etheridge was a past matron of Virginia Chapter 22, Order of the Eastern 
Star.
Surviving is one son, William B. Etheridge of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be conducted in Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home today at 
2 p.m. by the Rev. Paul G. Reitzer of Park Place Baptist Church. Burial will be 
in Elmwood Cemetery.
