Virginnian-Pilot October 9, 1915
The funeral of Herman (sic) B. Etheridge took place at 11 o'clock yesterday 
morning at the residence of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Etheridge, 211 
Thirty-first street, and was well-attended. Rev. H. M. Fugate, pastor of the 
Park Place Baptist church, conducted the services. There were many beautiful 
flowers, among them a cluster of lilies and roses from the Men's Progressive 
Bible class of the Park Place Baptist church; a cluster of dahlias from the 
Ladies' Bible class of the same church, and a cluster of carnations and dahlias 
from Circle No. 3 of the church. Interment was in Elmwood cemetery and the 
pallbearers were W. J. Fitchett, Robert Etheridge, II, S. Herrick, Dr. E. W. 
Baxter, J. T. Hampshire, L. Harmon. Mr. Etheridge had a wide acquaintance here 
and his death will be generally regretted.
