Virginian-Pilot November 10, 1908
Mabel E. Etheridge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel B. Etheridge, died at the home 
of her parents at Cape Henry at 12 o'clock Sunday morning from diphtheria, aged 9 
years. The funeral was held at the grave in Elmwood cemetery, Norfolk, at 4:30 
o'clock Sunday evening, and was conducted by Rev. A. K. Lambden, of the Cape Henry 
Methodist church. There was a profusion of beautiful floral tributes.
