Virginian-Pilot February 12, 1941
Mrs. Mary Ellen Etheridge, aged 83, widow of William H. Etheridge, died at her 
residence, 1411 Bolling avenue, yesterday afternoon at 2:40 o'clock. She is 
survived by a son, Charles M. Etheridge, and a granddaughter, Miss Norma Wood 
Etheridge, both of Norfolk. Mrs. Etheridge was a native of Petersburg and had been 
a resident of Norfolk 60 years. She was a member of the McKendree Methodist Church 
and Wesley Bible Class.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
