Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 20,1961
Mrs. Martha Evans, 77, will be given funeral service Friday, May 19, 1 p.m. at 
Second Calvary Baptist Church.  The Rev. H. W. B. Walker will officiate.

Mrs. Evans died May 16 in a local  hospital.  She resided at 1010 Barney street.

A native of Ivor, VA, she lived 49 years in Norfolk.  She held membership in the 
United Order of Tents, and served on the usher board and missionary circle at 
Second Calvary Church.

Her survivors include three sons, Clyde Wilson of Norfolk, Richard Wilson of 
Portsmouth and James Wilson of Ivor;  one daughter, Mrs. Sadie Walton of 
Norfolk;  and one sister, Mrs. Alice Bunn of Brooklyn, NY.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, under direction of Morning Glory Funeral 
Home.
