Norfolk Virginian January 8, 1891
Dr. Evans, who has long sold medicine here, on the corner, died at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. Gunter, on Pinner street. Rev. George Vanderslice conducted the 
funeral there yesterday and his remains were taken to Norfolk for burial.
