Mrs. Ellen Mary Evans — Funeral service for Mrs. Evans was held yesterday morning 
at 10 o’clock at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. E. C. Kiefer was celebrant 
of the mass and the Rev. Leo J. Ryan, deacon; the Rev. E. P. Gallagher, sub-
deacon, and Vincent Warren, and A. J. Taylor were present. Father Kiefer paid high 
tribute to the life and character of Mrs. Evans. During the service, St. Mary’s 
quartet sang "Veni Jesu." Vincent Smith sang "Benedictus Gounod" and Mrs. James 
Hughes sang "Abide With Me."
Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery. The pallbearers were C. Moran Barry, Otto 
Wells, M. T. Blassingham, John B. Loughran, B. B. Ferguson, S. J. O’Connor, James 
J. Riley, Capt. Elmer Wing and W. H. Venable.
