Virginian-Pilot  January 1, 1899
Mr. Charles A. Evans died in this city yesterday at 12 o’clock m. of pneumonia, 
aged 40 years. Three brothers survive him, Messrs. John, Frank and Louis Evans. 
The funeral will be held from the residence of his brother, Mr. Frank Evans, on 
Wood street, at 3 o’clock this afternoon.
