George O’Connor Evans — Funeral services for Mr. Evans, who died Thursday, were 
conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments yesterday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. 
Joseph V. Brennan, pastor of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial was in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harvey S. Byrd, Pat Lawler, L. A. Winborne, 
Luther R. Taylor, I. E. Batron and T. Annarino.
