Miss Margaret Hickey Evans — Funeral services for Miss Evans, daughter of the late 
Frank P. and Mary Ellen Evans, whose death occurred Thursday afternoon, were held 
yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monsignor T. 
E. Waters officiating. The Rev. Paul Judson, O.S.A., of Villanova, Pa., and the 
Rev. John C. Ryan were present in the sanctuary. Monsignor Waters paid high 
tribute to the Christian character of the deceased. There was a large attendance 
and a profusion of floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter 
lilies and ferns. During the service, Mrs. S. A. Sutton sang "One Sweetly Solemn 
Thought,” with J. Harvey Stevens as organist. Interment was in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dr. M. S. Fitchett, Dr. Carter Crafford. William B. 
Ryan, Joseph T. Branch, E. V. Butt, B. B. Ferguson, A. H. Clark, Emmett Hogan, 
Capt. W. D. Reilly, E L. Hargrove and M. T. Blassingham.
