Mrs. Mary Ellen McCarthy Evans — Funeral services for Mrs. Evans, wife of George 
O. Evans, who died Sunday, were conducted yesterday at 10 a.m. at Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church by the Rev. B. J. McKenna. The Rev. Edward W. Johnston 
and the Rev. Joseph V. Brennan were present in the sanctuary. Burial was in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were William B. Rudolph, Prescott Doran, Luther R. 
Taylor, John W. Saunders, Joseph Matacio, William H. Thompson and T. P. Taylor.
