Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA)- September 26, 2002 
EVADEANE "EVIE" EVANS, 58, of the 700 block of Colony Drive, went to be with 
the Lord, surrounded by friends, Sept. 23, 2002. in her home. Born in 
Evansville, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Shirley Martin and Rose 
Lenora Holder Martin and was predeceased by a son, Jack. She was a member of 
Great Bridge Church of God. Evadeane enjoyed bowling. She was a loving mother 
and went out of her way to help other people. Survivors include her loving 
husband of 30 years. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Great 
Bridge Church of God. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Oman Funeral 
Home & Crematory, Chesapeake, is in charge.
