His case was regarded as hopeless from the first. The bullet, fired from a pistol, penetrated his temple and lodged at the base of his brain. Mr. Evans sank gradually from the time he was admitted to the hospital. He was formerly employed in the Seaboard Air Line railway shops. A widow survives him. Arrangements for the funeral services were not completed last night. They will be announced tomorrow. ********************************************************************* The funeral of John Evans, whose death occurred at the King's Daughters' Hospital, where he was removed after having shot himself with a revolver at his home in Cottage Place on last Friday, will be conducted from the funeral apartments of J.E. Snellings, 608 Green street, this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley.
